This is a true shot in the dark, but in 1982, I was in 2nd grade. I saw an old short film shot maybe in the 70's while I was in the elem. school library.
The short film had no speaking in it, but had a man wandering around New York-ish streets where everyone was weaing gas masks. While walking in the bleak and rainy cityscape, he finds a small flower growing in the filth and smog and digs it up.
He then walks to his home and steps into a small greenhouse. He takes the gas mask off and breathes in the fresh air. He plants the little flower with his other plants and is enjoying it when a mob of masked citizens start banging on the glass. They break the glass to breath in the fresh air and the man falls over.
Does anyone know what this post-apocolytptic short film was called and where can I find it?
For me to still remember it in that detail since seeing it last in 1982, it obviously either impressed me or scarred me (I don't quiet know which).
